Question on All inclusive @ Mr. Sanchos

I didn't read the whole post. We just returned from Cozumel. We have been to Mr. Sanchos twice and have never been disappointed. They have horseback riding, ATV and a massage for 30 dollars a half hour. I paid 125. for a massage on the ship that left me black and blue. The masseaus at Mr. Sanchos really make you feel relaxed. The food at Mr. Sanchos is wonderful. We had 3 servings of their steak tacos. They were so wonderful, soft and seasoned just perfect with Guacamoli sauce as an option. I swam out in the gulf and saw many fish just off shore, they do have snorkle trips. They have a great little shopping village with no pressure. ALso we got to handle a small sweet monkey and have our picture taken. It is the perfect Mexican vacaton at one place. I will go back there everytime I go.

We were just at Mr. Sanchos last week. We were not aware it was an all inclusive. It is a very nice place though. My friend and I took a cooking class. They set it up very nicely for us and and we had the chef and a interperter and we cooked. My husband and I had a massage my was from a woman name Carmen, she was great! Beware though. Do not buy vanilla from the last store next to the beach. I bought some there and later found it was way over priced. It is Azteca and I have bought it before and it was great! But.... she wanted 25.00 for the liter bottle. I got her down to 15.00. She put all I had in a bag that broke when we went downtown, I happened to take the glass bottles they broke! Well I needed that vanilla so my hubby and me did a search downtown. I found a place a block or so off of downtown and paid 9.00 for a liter with no bargaining. If you want to find it go to the square. If you face the square go to the store across the street from the far left corner of the square, it had a blue sign and it look sort of like a fancy drug store. The vanilla is back by the liquor.;)

We were on the Carnival Ecstasy 5 day Thanksgiving sailing. We have been to Cozumel 5+ times prior. Based on the reviews, we decided that we wanted to give Mr. Sancho's a try.

We booked the all-inclusive package ahead of time with Carrie. There were 6 of us (4 adults, 2 children).

We took the taxi (van actually since there were 6 of us). The taxi was waiting right outside the cruise terminal. The cost was $30 each way. We arrived at Mr. Sancho's a little before 9am.

We were warmly greeted and were escorted to the bar area. Unfortunately, we misplaced our confirmation sheet from Carrie. This caused a little uneasiness at first. However, we were able to clear things up and in no time at all we were sitting on the beach at a covered table with drinks in hand. We also were assigned some lounge chairs for use.

The food was of very high quality. We had the cevichi, bean burritos, shrimp tacos, gaucamole and chips ... We were not allowed to order the lobster (whole) or the lobster tacos. I thought I read that we would be allowed to order the lobster tacos, but it wasn't that big of a deal for us. It would be good to know ahead of time so that there aren't any surprises.

The facilities were clean and well kept. I read some negative reviews about the lounge chairs. Ours looked to be almost brand new so they might have corrected this issue. We did not bring towels because we thought towel service was included. Wrong! Towel rentals were $3 for the day. I opted to go buy a blanket at the gift shop for $10 & we also had another blanket to share. So, be sure to bring your towels!

The beach area was very nice. Soft sand lined with little shells. The water was beautiful. There is no coral but there are fish so my husband and the kids enjoyed snorkeling and looking at the fish.

We did almost every activity available - rode horses ($25/30 minutes), did the ATV/jet ski combo ($85 - 30 minutes to jet ski & 30 minutes to ATV), and parasailing ($55 for 1 person). Everyone had a great time. Only complaint was that the jet skis ran a little slow & one stalled out a few times.

The staff was very hospitable and attentive. We always had a drink in hand and food when we wanted.

There was a small pool but it was too cold for me. I wish they would make it a hot tub during the off season :D

The bar drinks were of high quality, based on what I've experienced other places. Definitely not watered down. They also had great non-alcoholic drinks for the kids.

We ran into our waiter when we were there, so that was really neat. He said that they love to go to Mr. Sancho's! We shared some drinks, laughs and tossed some football with him.

When we were ready to leave, there were plenty of taxis waiting in the parking lot for our return back to the ship.

Next time, I don't think I would get the all-inclusive. At least not for myself or the kids. DH & the oldest boys enjoyed having run of the bar though!

I would definitely suggest Mr. Sancho's for anyone wanting a nice relaxing beach day with great food, drink and service. :)

It sounds like you had a great day and that everything went smoothly with your booking with Carrie.

Did you get to meet her?

Do you have any photos you could post?

I am anxious to see how much it has changed, and am glad to hear there are some new chairs. I can't wait til my turn to go to Mr. Sanchos.

Just got back Sunday from a cruise on the Legend. We did the 40$ all inclusive at Mr. Sanchos. It was awesome. We were treated like VIP's. We got our own table and lounge chair. Everything is included except shrimp or lobster, that was 10$ more. Food and booze was great. The water was beautiful. Would love to go again

Do they pick you up at the pier or do you pay a taxi to take you??

There is still some confusion regarding what food items are included. Previously in the thread it said that the all-inclusive included everything except the whole lobster. However, we were not allowed to order the lobster tacos. Now a poster says that they weren't allowed to order shrimp - we were.

I can understand not including the lobster dishes but the shrimp dishes should be included , IMHO. You might want to clarify this prior to going so you know what to expect. I was so looking forward to the lobster tacos & was really bummed when they said I couldn't order them :(

Other than that - a great day indeed!

I read it as anything except lobster, no mention of whole, tail, or taco's. I will let you know early next week.

carolina how was the weather and the beach itself??? and the facility??

were looking for a beach to go to but dont know which..

The beach and facilities were awesome. Nice sandy beach - no coral but some fish that were fun to look at. The facilities were clean and well-kept. As for the weather, we were there at the end of November and the weather was warm and sunny - but obviously this can vary. You can go to www.weather.com and see monthly averages of temp and rainfall.

Is the ATV jet ski combo per person? I have a kid that would need to ride on back. He might also be scared to go.

I asked about riding double on the ATV's and was told we could ride double but the price would be the same price as if we were riding two separate ATV's.

You can go to their website and email them with your questions. They respond pretty promptly.

We were there at the beginning on December and it was great! We watched our personel cruise vidoe last night and all 7 of us agreed that Mr. Sanchos AI was the best $40.00 each of us has ever spent!!

You can order anything off the menu to eat except shrimp & lobster. We had many orders of everything. AS far as drinks. anything goes, and that includes 40 different tequillas, shots and all!!

Ask for Hectors area, he was great! No matter where you were he brought you another drink before you were finished with the last.

If you contact them they don't have an AI you have to contact Carrie.

I would go back to Cozumel just to relax and visit Hector.

We must of been booking at the sametime. Since December I have been "bugging" Carrie with tons of questions. Each time answered in a timely manner. When I gave her the number of people and my paypal account, within a minute I had the bill. Had to email her again just to make sure it was her since it came so quick. First time booking on my own, not through the ship. She made it so easy!!!
