mikeblum Posted September 27, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 27, 2008 1 or 2 yrs ago we had access to a wonderful web cam that would look out over the entire port of miami...is that still out there...can't remember what it was...you chould see all of the cruise ships lined up...especially on saturday's and sundays...could even see them take the turn around come and leaving the port of miami...that web cam kept me going if my ship wasn't going to sail for 9 months... CruiseAwayWithMe Posted September 27, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 27, 2008 http://www.earthcam.com/usa/florida/miami/ Click on Cam 2. I'm not sure if there are any other webcams or what happened to some of the good ones. Maybe someone else has some more links to Miami webcams. :) I enjoy them too. I liked watching ships sail away too.

happysinglemom Posted September 27, 2008 #4 Share Posted September 27, 2008 There is another one (the one that is listed in many posts here on CC) but it does not seem to be working. It's the one the Miami Herald site.
SheltieLady Posted September 27, 2008 #5 Share Posted September 27, 2008 I remember that good web cam in Miami you could go in a zoom in and out. That was a great web cam it was on a bank building I believe and it looked down the whole port. I was hoping to find it again too as I have a neighbour thats sailing out of Miami next month. golfer1966 Posted September 29, 2008 #10 Share Posted September 29, 2008 Kroooz Cams. That cam was great...you could zoom in and out and move it and watch the ships pull out of port. I actually was able to zoom in and see my friends once. They called me and said...ok, we are by the stacks and I was able to tell her what what they were wearing. It wasnt crystal clear, but it was pretty good. I captured the picture and e-mailed it to her and when she came back to work, she was surprised.... I miss that cam.. : (
ste17l Posted November 21, 2010 #11 Share Posted November 21, 2010 I didn't want to revive a old thread but this thread pops up whenever you do a google search for "port of miami webcam" so i think people visiting would like to know the information. Anyways. there are no direct webcams on the port but the traffic webcams of MacArthur causeway has views of most of the terminals. Here are the links. http://68.177.227.20/CCTVImages/606-CCTV.jpg http://68.177.227.20/CCTVImages/605-CCTV.jpg http://68.177.227.20/CCTVImages/603-CCTV.jpg http://68.177.227.20/CCTVImages/603-CCTV.jpg?cachebuster=1290377519428 http://68.177.227.20/CCTVImages/607-CCTV.jpg?cachebuster=1290377608538
canucks4 Posted December 5, 2010 #12 Share Posted December 5, 2010 I found that this thread did indeed pop up as I was looking for the old Wachovia webcam - I haven't gone out of Miami for a while and didn't realize it was gone. No webcams on ports (specifically Miami) - is this by choice or mandated by Homeland Security? Anyone know?
