Cruiser Forever Posted November 6, 2008 Author #228 Share Posted November 6, 2008 Up in the Rockies... I like this one. Very nice. I would think it is tough taking pictures of animals and hummingbirds like TexasJam. They could easily take off in a blink of an eye. So these have been really cool snapshots. Thanks for sharing them!! :D

Rare pierces Posted November 9, 2008 #248 Share Posted November 9, 2008 LOL :D I bet you hardly need to use that button. BTW, where did you take the photos of these beautiful flowers. In your garden, do you have a green thumb too. ;) They are stationery/calendar quality, imho. All of the flowers I posted are from our work-in-progress back yard. I have to admit that I pick out and plant according to how photogenic the blooms are! We've had some odd stuff growing back there! Backyard pineapple: It actually produced 2 very sweet fruitings before going to the great compost heap in the sky! At least with the camera I have more to remember it with than sticky fingers and a satisfied burp!:D Dave Dave

Dave Dave, When you originally photograped these flowers was the background black or did you "enhance " the photo? Just curious, striking contrast! Rare pierces Posted November 10, 2008 #250 Share Posted November 10, 2008 Dave, When you originally photograped these flowers was the background black or did you "enhance " the photo? Just curious, striking contrast! I "posed" them against a black felt backdrop and lit them with a very diffused flash. The photos were cleaned up a bit to remove stray specs of dirt and insect damage, but the color and contrast was largely unchanged. Dave
