Joel Mason (Elton John)

Does anybody know what Joel is doing this fall/winter cruise season? We have done the Oosterdam, to Mexico, the last two Decembers and have been fortunate to see Joel do his Elton John impersonation both times. It's been the highlight of both cruises. He has a website, eltonjoel.com, but it's not kept up-to-date. It would make our day if he was on the December 6 cruise. If not, it will still be wonderful but it will be missing just a little bit.

He was by far the best entertainment I have ever seen on a cruise! Sorry I can't help track him down for you but I totaly understand you wanting to see him again. Just a great act!

We saw his show on the Zuiderdam last January...and yup was awesome. didn't thik I was a big Elton fan...however, thanks to Joel for our anniversarry I bought dh tickets this year and we saw him recently in Regina...

Would be great to see him again.

If your December 6th cruise is when you are cruising I think that unfortunately he will not be on any HAL ships that week:( I had heard that he had a land engagement on December 10 and a few other dates in December. He will be on the Eurodam for a few weeks of charters with Julie Barr then he will be on another HAL ships in the Caribbean thru Spring.

Joel was on the Amsterdam this past summer in Alaska and we were fortunate enough to see him a 2nd year in a row and not sure who is following who but our next cruise on the Oosterdam on the 18th we will once again get to see Joel perform. I am beginning to feel like a groupie:D Tom and I often will quote some of his lines from his show to each other;) And of course when ever we hear an Elton John song we can only see Joel performing it.

We have seen his show several times on various ships.

 

We were fortunate to see Joel again this past spring on the Westerdam before he left for the Amsterdam. He not only had an evening show -- but also had one in the afternoon on a sea day.

Sue I believe he will be. To my understanding he is boarding the Oosterdam tomorrow but he occiasional does some land shows so there are weeks is is not on the ship but from what I have heard he should be on all the weeks upcoming till the first of December.

Yes he is truly entertaining and has a rare sort of comedy that I guess takes a little bit of wharped personality :D The audience response really helps to make his show and in 2006 on the Noordam it was great but sadly I could feel that his type of humor was lost when he performed on the Amsterdam this summer. I think Joel does much better on the Vista Class ships :)
