lovecruzin Posted March 24, 2014 #2451 Share Posted March 24, 2014 Does anyone know who the Naturalist will be on the Solstice in Alaska this season? We will be on the May 8th sailing. Thanks! I didn't see a reply to this. According to his website, Brent Nixon will be on Solstice. He is so educational and entertaining. Enjoy!
C 2 C Posted March 24, 2014 Author #2452 Share Posted March 24, 2014 Who currently is the CD on the Summit? Lisa Richard was CD in February but I don't know how long she would remain onboard.
C 2 C Posted March 24, 2014 Author #2453 Share Posted March 24, 2014 So, back to my original question back a ways on this thread... where is Graeme going? Anyone know? Bruce is travelling from Constellation to South Africa right now for his vacation. Graeme will be onboard a little longer… unless someone can update his future itinerary. We had Brent Nixon on our Mercury cruise to Alaska and he was fabulous. He even came along on our private whale watch and coached us on when to press the shutter. He gave my daughter one of his CDs to give to her cousin's husband who is a wonderful science teacher. Enjoy! C 2 C Posted March 26, 2014 Author #2463 Share Posted March 26, 2014 Arno, Do the Captains do 4/6 months on the ship, before vacation time? Three off, three on.. plus adjustment time on some sailings to make travel easier.. such as Transatlantics, Christmas etc.

C 2 C Posted March 26, 2014 Author #2465 Share Posted March 26, 2014 We were on Reflection Feb 8 sailing and Rachelle was the CC hostess. We will be on the TA on Reflection April 26 and asked her if she will still be on and she told us that she extended her contract so she will be on the TA with us. Looking forward to seeing her again. C 2 C Posted March 26, 2014 Author #2467 Share Posted March 26, 2014 Hi Arno, hope you are both doing well. After our Century cruises last month I think Capt George is my new favorite:D We returned way too early, snow last night and cold!! I'm trying to get the pictures together of a number of new names. Captain George is definitely the friendliest captain in the fleet right now. He exemplifies the type of captain who truly cares about his ship and passenger interaction. Some (no names) are doing a job and have no interest in mixing with passengers.

I will name 2 others I have always liked and who also seem very outgoing.....Panos...I have sailed while he was at the helm several times:) and Capt Theo.....both have always been quite friendly! I am booked on Reflection for November. I have only sailed her once and that was for her 3 night Inaugural back in Dec 2012. Looking forward to a regular 7 nights:D

All four listed captains on Century and Constellation are friendly, and we sailed with them as they moved up the ladder. Captain Panos is also a very friendly master. There are still a couple with whom we have not sailed as yet. Some go through the motions but few go out of their way to mingle with the passengers like Captain George did on Century. LOL, Arno -- I think that many of the ladies (myself included) on last month's Century b2b had quite a crush on Captain George! ;) (PS -- remember that other "who's onboard" thread you started, some time back? You might want to pop in over there, when you have a minute -- someone has a question for you :))
