AOS--favorite excursion

Recommended Posts

It's Friday, we leave 3 weeks from tomorrow, and it is so hard to work!

We'll be on AOS (the Aruba route).

So, what was your favorite excursion?

We rented 4 wheelers in St Marteen and just loved it. It had rained that morning so naturally a lot of mud, which we went through. They take a long scenic ride, stop for pictures, drive through sand, stop at a beach then back on the road. What a blast.:D

We sail on 11/9, looking for advise on two excursions as well.

Looking for some stuff to do that doesn't include a long day in a van, but is can provide a feel for the island we are visiting.

Did Cosol Tours in St. Lucia a couple years ago and we ended up in the van all day driving from site to site. Interesting, but not much fun...

I did love the Silver Moon in Barbados, if there is something comparable on this itinerary that would be great. The only gripe I did have about the Silver Moon was the food, ti could have been better.

On the days we don't hit the excursions we will most likely shop and hit the beach for a couple hours.

In St Thomas we used Godfrey Tours basically as a reliable taxi for shopping and beach transport. Not a true tour, but recommended if you want to have a prearranged ride. Tour Two is $20 pp.

Did you rent a four wheel drive vehicle from a car rental place, or ATV's?

I agree Gonzo70. We have done that same excursion 2 years in a row and then took the water taxi over to the beach across from where the ship docks and spent the rest of the day on the beach drinking Caribes (local beer) and enjoying the sun and water.
