Is the Senior discount usually better that the past guest discount? Is there a separate code for it? Anyone have any tips on the most cost effective way to get full benefits of the senior discount. Such as a time of year that is better than others or something like that. :)

The past guest code may be available for up to a whole year in advance. The senior code is usually only on closer in dates, but recently, with fewer bookings Iv seen it out as far as next spring.

 

I think the code is PSE?? If that isnt it, I can go look it up.

I have always seen the Sr. Discount to be lowerthan the past passengers but often does not include any free upgrades (if they really have that much of a value !). Seems the Residents promo, when offered, is usually the same or close to the sr. rates. The Sr. promos are hit and miss on any ship or sailing date and I believe are geared on the need to sell more staterooms on a slow moving ship/sail date, so I cant really give any advice to getting a more effective way or benefits you are asking about. Dont understand what you mean about a cost effective way when the rates are either available or not and are what they are listed at regarding price.

I just looked up the senior discount (PSE) for our Valor 4-19-09 trip. All that would show up is $200 off list for a Cat 11 suite. Tried DSP, and found the rest of the cabins at a discount. Go figure.

It's been asked before, but can you combine Senior and Past Guest discounts if the occasion arrises?

You cannot combine codes/discounts. One or the other, whichever is less.
