John Duffy Hotel Manager QE2

Does anyone know if John Duffy, long serving Hotel Manager of QE2, is moving on to any of the other Cunarders or will he be hanging up his hat at the end of QE2's farewell cruise to Dubai?

No, I think Mr Duffy goes to Queen Mary2, and Mr Hamilton, his relief on QE2, has gone to QV.

I sat at John Duffy's table, once again, during the final transatlantic crossing. He will become Hotel Manager on Queen Mary 2, I believe, in the early part of 2009.

 

Having long-time familiar QE2 officers like John Duffy on Queen Mary 2 may help lure QE2 devotees (read, me) over more quickly.

 

Captain McNaught told me that he is going to Queen Victoria in March.
