More on bringing alcohol on board

We have cruised out of Fort Lauderdale on Princess a couple of times in the past. There was a liquor store very close to the terminal and after checking in, we returned and bought several bottles of wine and a couple of bottles of liquor. We had no trouble bringing this on board and did not try to hide it. We saw people get liquor confiscated when returning from shore at the first stop though. The last time we left from Fort Lauderdale was three years ago. We are planning a two week cruise on Princess in February (sailing from Fort Lauderdale) and would like to bring several bottles of wine on board again (not in our luggage but purchased from the liquor store). Has anyone had recent experience with this on Princess?
