CruiznWithHubby Posted November 11, 2008 Author #26 Share Posted November 11, 2008 Thanks, that is why I couldnt find it. I was looking for November. Looks like it will be the Destiny because I have to get to those ports (and I never pick a cruise for the ports) but something about Grand Turk and Half Moon Cay is so appealing I agree, I agree :) It sounds like heaven,,,,,I figure with 3 ports, even if one is cancelled, I'll still get to see the others most likely :) Holly
calicruise74 Posted November 11, 2008 #27 Share Posted November 11, 2008 Holly, We did the Liberty last year and had a Category 11 suite...NICE!! We loved the Liberty and had a great time! Try to do as many here have recommended and go to Half Moon Cay for the nice sand.
JXR Posted November 11, 2008 #28 Share Posted November 11, 2008 I did the Freedom this past April (GT, HMC, St Thomas & San Juan). To me, this was the best Eastern Intinerary for someone looking for beaches. HMC is heavenly. Grand Turk was really nice as well. Good Luck researching .... NCTribeFan Posted November 11, 2008 #29 Share Posted November 11, 2008 I'm sailing Fascination in a few weeks just to get back to HMC. Absolute paradise. The islands with the good snorkeling usually don't have soft sand beaches (which is probably why it wasn't your sort of sand in GC). GT beach is just big rocks. Of course, GT is known for the reef & diving, not the beach. I haven't been to Megan's Bay St Thomas, but I know the snorkeling isn't so good there, so maybe the sand is. Sapphire Beach was nice. I don't remember the sand being painful or anything but you can also walk in to snorkel from one end of the beach, so it seems to be a good combination. I would definitely consider Miracle out of Ft. L. Love the Spirit-class.
