Best cruise from New Orleans

Carnival Fantasy and NCL Spirit are my choices.Which one is nicer?Are cabins the same size?Public rooms equal?Prices are similar so I would pick the more attractive and newer look.Anyone done both?Any advise?Thanks

NCL Spirit is 7 days and Carnival Fantasy class only does shorter cruises. I do see one bargin on Spirit for $299, Id grab that one myself. Neither is top drawer, but as long as you have reasonable expectations you will be fine. Fantasy insides and OVs are both 185 s.f. and they dont have balconys, next up are so so suites. Spirit shows most insides at 149 s.f. and OVs at 157 s.f, so a little smaller, but I doubt size would make a big difference, pretty close.

 

I personally dont like anytime dining on NCL, but some like it fine.
