MichCook Posted November 18, 2008 #3 Share Posted November 18, 2008 We did the catamaran cruise to the Pitons and enjoyed it very much. There are some seats in shade. I have no comparison to give for the views of St. Lucia - never took that shore excursion. Any specific info you were seeking?
Stevesan Posted November 19, 2008 #4 Share Posted November 19, 2008 The roads are narrow, hilly and have sharp turns. The views are ok, but the ride can be a bit nervous making. Take the catamaran: The cruise is relaxing, fun (usually Carib music and some line dancing), and the views are spectacular.
jfv379 Posted November 19, 2008 #5 Share Posted November 19, 2008 We did the Cat excursion from, and pardon the spelling, Castries to Souferrie, with the return by bus from Souferrie. It was excellent. Lunch included as it is an all day tour. Stopped at volcano sulfur field, can't think of the name, and a plantation. Well worth the cost. Enjoy your cruise
elou Posted November 19, 2008 Author #6 Share Posted November 19, 2008 Catamaran cruise seems #1. I guess I'm not a beach person, so was undecided. The cruise sounds great.
sunshine426 Posted November 20, 2008 #7 Share Posted November 20, 2008 We did the Land and Sea Tour. Half of it was on the catamaran half bus tours of the Island. Had a good time, learned some history, saw a "working" plantation, etc. Do you have a "senior" going on it. Are you concerned regarding mobility issues?
