Just got back from a cruise on the Majesty starting 11/24. Went with my daughter and girlfriend and had a great time.

1) Interior room was small but very clean. Nice TV and movies.

2) Shows were entertaining and enjoyable.

3) Food was better then expected.

4) Staff was excellant

5) Too many kids in the hottubs.

6) Teen program for 12-14 was excellant.

7) Check in and disembark were super smooth.

8) Cococay was nice. Big beach with music and food.

9) Key West was pleasant. Walked down to the Hemingway House and southernmost point.

10) In Nassau Atlantis was incredible. Took a cab to it and booked the AquaAdventure through Atlantis. 270 for 3 people. Getting a cab was scary. Worst part of the vacation.

Hoping for some more deals so that we can take another cruise next year.

We're doing this same sailing Christmas week (minus the stop in Key West). How was the food and entertainment? Any chance you have posted your Compasses? We are looking forward to a relaxing way to spend the holidays together.

Hi,

I'll try and scan the Compasses in and post.

4 night cruise:

Monday: Boarded, Had lunch at the Windjammer. Food was tasty but nothing great. We were very hungry. Went and watched the departure event by the pool. Music was nice and they had ice sculpuring. Had dinner. I tried the prime rib which was cooked like I had asked and was good sized. Afterwards we added the evenings comedy event. The comedian was funny and my 14 year old daughter loved it. Later that evening we had grabed some pizza from Sorrentos.

Tuesday: Had breakfast in the Windjammer. Omlette was very good but the eggs and sausage were bland. Went to Nassau. The formal dinner was good. The chicken marsala was tasty. The evenings show was called Boogie Wonderland and was dance and songs from the 70's.

Wednesday: Had breakfast in the main dinning room. The "Classic" (eggs, hash, bacon, toast) was tasty and my girlfriend enjoyed the eggs Benedict. That evening I tried the Filet Mignon which was cooked like I had requested and very tasty. The evenings entertainment was juggling which was great! The guy and his wife were very talented. Later that evening we caught the "love and marriage" gameshow which was hillarious. It was like the Newlywed Game.

Thursday: Grabbed breakfast from the Windjammer. Had lunch at Johnny Rockets. Burgers were tasty and the fries, shakes and onion rings were also yummy. Dinner was the Thanksgiving turkey which was plentifull. That evening the show was called "Signed, Sealed and Delivered" which was R&B type.

Overall we did not do any bingo or the casino but caught parts of Karoke and the Belly flop contest.

My girlfriend loved the Garlic Shrimp at dinner and my daughter enjoyed everthing. Especially the Sorrentos pizza. Each night we ordered 4-5 desserts:)

Seattle's Best coffee was just ok and we did not try room service.

The staff was great.

We are considering not packing up the guys' suits and dress shoes for formal night to keep down the packing for the short trip. Any reason we should definitely go to the MD for formal night or will we be happy in the Windjammer for one night?

We just did the Thanksgiving 4 night on the MJ... first time (ever) we skipped formal night and did Windjammer... worked out we wound up sitting with a couple of the Officers:D.... anyway.... the food is not the menu... so you will miss several nice choices if you don't go to the main dining room.... you would be fine with a jacket... forget the rest (okay.... don't take that the wrong way... I mean don't need "formal").... Thanksgiving dinner was not the "routine"... had a little more up-scale menu... am assured it will be the same for Christmas. We will be on-board also... maybe we will see you.:)

Glad to hear you'll be onboard as well. Who will be with you? It will be me and DH, 19 yo son and my mother. The guys are willing to take suits if I ask them, but we are really trying to cut down on luggage and that's the easiest thing to get rid of. Do you know what exactly we will miss if we don't do formal night? We plan on going to the MD on other nights.
