gomomgo Posted December 4, 2008 #1 Share Posted December 4, 2008 We will be on the Majesty and wondering if anyone has done the ship's excursion through Nassau and Ardastra Gardens. We are traveling with my mother (77) and while we snorkel, I have her booked on this trip. Is there a lot of walking required or can she skip some of the walking while others climb the Queen's Stairs, etc? What kind of transportation do they use? She has had 2 hips replaced in the last year and moves a bit slowly and does not walk far before tiring. Is this trip going to work for her? We want to keep her on a cruise tour rather than finding one on her own since she will be doing this without us.
PH8 Posted December 4, 2008 #2 Share Posted December 4, 2008 Im not sure how hard it would be.......if you look at the description, they show a little man at the bottom walking up an incline which means: ModeratexTo fully participate may require extended periods of walking over even and uneven surfaces, steep terrain and/or water activity in a slight current. There may be steps, inclines, cobblestone surfaces, and extended periods of standing. Participants with physical limitations should take this into account. You need to find one with MILD (the little guy on flat land) esp since your mom wont have you there to help her
gomomgo Posted December 4, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted December 4, 2008 Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a "mild" little guy on any of the excursions. I'm hoping that she can just opt out of some of the walking and watch from the van.
