Southwest Posted November 12, 2004 #1 Share Posted November 12, 2004 A few months back I saw complaints that the hairdryers didn't really work well, so wanted to check to see if I should bring my own or if the hairdryers were OK. I'm in a cabin, not a suite (in case that makes a difference). Thanks.
hotzej Posted November 16, 2004 #2 Share Posted November 16, 2004 We recently were on the O. Had an S suite. Wife has hairdryer was very powerful. Suggestion: Get a Suite. They are terriffic.
Pudgesmom Posted November 16, 2004 #3 Share Posted November 16, 2004 Our hairdryer was not very powerful. It was mounted inside a drawer in our SS suite. Also, it would be very inconvenient if you were left=handed. I was glad I brought my own and I have very short hair. Have a wonderful cruise on the Oosterdam. We did.:) Beth
Krazy Kruizers Posted November 16, 2004 #4 Share Posted November 16, 2004 The hairdryer was mounted in a drawer in the dressing - powerful - but inconvenient.
HeatherInFlorida Posted November 16, 2004 #5 Share Posted November 16, 2004 We were in Cabin 5086, BA category, on Verandah Deck. They mounted the hairdryer in a cabinet in the "desk". It takes up the entire shelf which I really could have used since there is no other space in the "desk". The other shelf is filled with glasses, etc. However, I felt the dryer was very powerful ... it had 2 heat settings and I used the less powerful. I should mention, though, that I have fairly short, fine hair so it might not be as powerful as you would like.
fran2 Posted November 16, 2004 #6 Share Posted November 16, 2004 Hairdryer was fine and I have very thick hair!
deepwater Posted November 17, 2004 #7 Share Posted November 17, 2004 The hairdryers were quite adequate for me. I would recommend not taking a hairdryer unless you have extra room in your luggage.
estj Posted November 18, 2004 #8 Share Posted November 18, 2004 my hairdryer was also in the desk (Heather is correct...takes up valuable space). It was too weak to dry my hair and I have fine hair...was glad I took my own.
