CruisinEurope Posted January 2, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 2, 2009 Hello there! I am wondering if NCL will provide a fan if I request? Do they have those?? I sleep w/ a fan going - mostly for the "white noise", but I also like to have the air moved a bit too. Thanks!
bklynangel Posted January 2, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 2, 2009 Hello there! I am wondering if NCL will provide a fan if I request? Do they have those?? I sleep w/ a fan going - mostly for the "white noise", but I also like to have the air moved a bit too. Thanks! I bought a real small fan and stuck a piece of paper in it to make noise so i can sleep but if you book a cabin forward, you might not need a fan. I did that my last cruise and didn't use a fan and slept like a baby. I'm like you, I run a fan every night to block out noise.
3rdtimecruising Posted January 5, 2009 #3 Share Posted January 5, 2009 Hello cruisers, I am glad to hear that I am not the only one who needs noise to sleep.... So do my kids!!! My husband and I went to Maine this weekend and for Xmas I bought a small Hoemedics ?sp noise machine that has things like heartbeat, ocean, rainforest and the one that I liked was the waterfall. It was perfect I did not wake at all (usually do when I hear toilets flush etc). I actually bought it for my daughter who is going to do 8weeks of her student teaching in Puerto Rico. At school she always had a fan or AC. This operates on batteries of AC and it is about the size of a small plate. Hope this is helpful... Eeyoregon Posted January 5, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 5, 2009 I bring my own small tabletop electric fan. Not only is the white noise nice but the added air circulation is always a bonus!!
derf5585 Posted January 5, 2009 #5 Share Posted January 5, 2009 I sleep with a white noise machine. When the kids were little and they fought I used to go to my room and put it on full blast to drown out the noise. And I got hooked on it.
