Cruzer Nut Posted January 10, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 10, 2009 Hi all, Just a question about the new hotel at Kings St Wharf in Sydney. Any of you out there stayed there at all??? I tried to find the relevant thread but could only find that there was an opening special of under $100. I want to know what the rooms were like, are they really pokey?? - I have looked on several websites etc and looked at the room they have pictured and it looks like a kennel. :o Looking to book in the next week or so. I don't have a car so have to rely on Public Transport to get me to the Hotel and would like to be able to walk to the Wharf, All those one way streets down that end of Sydney is a nightmare. If they are really small would appreciate any other suggestions.

Cruzer Nut Posted January 11, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted January 11, 2009 Are you talking about the Ibis Hotel in Darling Harbour? Kay Hi no it's the Ibis at the Wharf, I'ts just opened. I can't remember if it was this cruise (that left late) or the one before that one of the CC'ers said they were staying there on an opening special. I will bump it up when they return and see if I get any futher responses. Just wonder if I should hang the expense  and start my holiday off with a bang and stay at my hotel of choice just because of the view? twodudes Posted January 11, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 11, 2009 Hi - Yes the Ibis Hotel at King St Wharf has opened. Whilst I haven't seen it personally, you should be aware that all other Ibis hotels in Sydney have exceptionally small rooms versus a traditional hotel brand. Having said that, you get what you pay for - their rates are very competitive. The location isn't bad area - some great restaurants and cafes along the wharf.
