ur_calvin_klein_guy Posted January 14, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 14, 2009 Ok, my 4 daughters (ages 16-22) heard that there is a Coach outlet store in San Juan. Would anyone know where it is located? Thanks everyone. Donnie
Dave&Robin Posted January 14, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 14, 2009 Yes there is a Coach outlet in San Juan (I was there last March) I can't remember exactly where it is but it's within walking distance of the pier in Old San Juan. I think you can pickup a map at the tourist office (a little yellow building near the pier) and if memory serves me, the different stores are marked on the map. CVU Posted January 14, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 14, 2009 There is a Dooney & Bourke store across the street on the same side. Be prepared to spend some time, they were both great stores with good buys and selection. It was so hard to decide..... It was a bit of a walk and we got a map from a kiosk by the pier. Just asked them where it was. We and several others were at their doors waiting for them to open up. Don't know the day or hours but we all waited for awhile for the doors to open. kel99 Posted January 14, 2009 #7 Share Posted January 14, 2009 There are awesome deals here. I got a $398 purse for $200 then another 20% off that. It was crazy, we were standing outside the store waiting for them to open and when they did everyone in the store was on our ship. You can walk from the ship to the store it is about 10 -15 minute walk. Enjoy, I did
abhb Posted January 14, 2009 #8 Share Posted January 14, 2009 There is a Coach outlet about 1/2 hour from where I live. I just went there for the first time just after x-mas. I bought a purse and two wristlets for $200. Since it was after x-mas, they were having an additional 10% off. Make sure you have lots of time. I couldn't believe how long dd and I were in that store:eek:
Drink-in-Hand/Toes-in-Sand Posted January 14, 2009 #9 Share Posted January 14, 2009 My mom and I cleaned up in the Coach outlet. It was a change of seasons and not only were there outlet prices, but an additional 50% off. I got 4 purses, a folio, a hat, a pill case, and a belt for less than $500. Oh, please take me with you!!! RoofingPrincess Posted January 14, 2009 #11 Share Posted January 14, 2009 Oh, there is definitely a Coach outlet in Old San Juan. I found my cruise roomie in there, on her cell phone with her best friend at home, begging her to talk her out of buying something. To no avail! :D She bought it anyway! I will be there in Feb. I believe it was January. Just after Christmas, before the Spring items came in. We got two large purses, and two smaller ones--plus all that other stuff. The last time I was in the sale wasn't that good (the cosmos weren't aligned in my favor!) but I still got a beautiful purse at a bargain price. Enjoy your trip! :)
zippytime Posted January 14, 2009 #13 Share Posted January 14, 2009 Was there last week, seemed to be the same prices as our local one at Prime Outlets.
~Jo~ Posted January 14, 2009 #14 Share Posted January 14, 2009 Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that they carry a lot of signature pieces in the Old San Juan Outlet. I was told this but never could verify it because when I went to the store on my last visit to OSJ, the power was out on a couple of streets and the store was closed. shoppermel Posted January 14, 2009 #16 Share Posted January 14, 2009 :) Oh , yes sir is there a Coach outlet in Old San Juan!!! You and your girls will absolutly love it. Great deals there. We usually stay at the Sheraton in Old San Juan the night before our cruise and it is within walking distance from there. It is very easy to find. Do give yourself lots of time. It is a huge store with lots to look at and choose from. I was very lucky last year, I had won a few hundred dollars in slots at the casino and was able to purchase quite a few items! I will be there in 17 days! Can't wait. Have a great trip yourselves!!:D
LDR Posted January 14, 2009 #17 Share Posted January 14, 2009 I have had good luck there twice. The extra 20% can really add up!
RI cruiser Posted January 14, 2009 #18 Share Posted January 14, 2009 We went there... and there wasn't anything there that wasn't in the states. Definitely stop there, cause you never know whats on the clearance stand :), but don't be surprised if you see the same stuff as the american outlets. cruisinkitten Posted January 14, 2009 #19 Share Posted January 14, 2009 Yippee!! One more reason to look forward to our cruise in september. There are quite a few coach purses I would like but I think my DH would kill me if I spent 400 on a purse. Now I know what I will be doing precruise in San Juan. :D
vickiw0318 Posted January 14, 2009 #20 Share Posted January 14, 2009 When DD and I were there last May, there weren't any real bargains that jumped out at us. (DD is a major fan.) So, maybe the poster with the three daughters will be safe. :)
MrZoey Posted January 14, 2009 #21 Share Posted January 14, 2009 I have 3 daughters and the first time we were in San Juan we did some major damage at the outlet because it was the week before Xmas and everything was extra off! The next time I was there in an early November there was nothing good for sale, they were cleaned out and were waiting for more stuff to come in for the holidays, kind of like all outlets can be, hit or miss. That said, that whole area has some fun outlet shopping, Bring your credit card Mom!!!
hockeyboy Posted January 14, 2009 #22 Share Posted January 14, 2009 She thought the Coach store was great! She got two nice medium sized bags for $200.00. One was a nice red purse. If I carried a purse, I would pick this one! Mike
