Miami to Ft. Lauderdale

I see a lot of info on the forum about traveling from Ft. Lauderdale to Miami but what Miami Airport to Ft. Lauderdale Cruise Port. It is about $140 pp cheaper for me to fly into Miami than Ft. Lauderdale. How much is a transfer to Ft. Lauderdale and about how long does it take? Any recommendations on shuttle companies? I am trying to determine if I should just pay the extra to fly into Ft. Lauderdale or if it is worth saving the money to fly into Miami. Saved money means more money to spend on the cruise!!

Have you checked with your cruiseline to see if they offer a shuttle from MIA to Port Everglades? You can also check with SuperShuttle, I believe it's around $30pp. Cab fares around $77 for the ride.

Why not hire a carcat the airport and drop it off at the cruiseport, I think the rental is about $50 per day inclusive.
