best way to get to South beach for the day from Coral Gables

I am staying at the westin Collonade hotel at 180 Aragon St in Coral Gables.We would like to go to South beach for the day on Saturday and was wondering is there any shuttles or ?? on getting from the hotel to the beach other then taxis and what is the most cost effective way to get there?? there are 4 of us.Thanks in advance

It'll take longer than a taxi or rental car, but Miami transit can get you there cheap. They have a trip planner function where you can punch in your start and destination and tell you the routes you need to take. It looks like it'll take about 1.5hrs with transfers - fare $2.50/adult.
