which airport closest to Dover?

Recommended Posts

we will be doing the Baltic cruise May 21...very confused about hotel for one night...and then the deal with transfers...seems like all the extra stuff will add up to the cost of the cruise....

has anyone done this cruise, economically and logically....

seems to me it makes sense to stay one night in Dover, not London...

I've seen your posts about this on a number of different fora, but this is one of the better ones for your answers. Thousands of people have done this cruise, and there are many, many suggestions on this forum, the Britain forum and the Europe forum. All you need to do is use the "search" button.

As for the question in your thread title, where are you flying in from? If you're coming straight in from Toronto, it's likely that you will only have one sensible choice: Heathrow. Gatwick is a bit closer to Dover, but frankly not so much so that it makes a huge difference. But those are likely to be the only two airports that make sense. The nearest airport to Dover with commercial service (Kent International/Manston) really won't be any use to you at all.
