North of Merida, on the coast. Just do a google search for: Progreso, Yucatan, Mexico and click on the map that appears on the right.

I myself am looking into the Uxmal ruins as we are finalizing a cruise on the Elation.

 

Many say it's much cheaper to book independently or at the pier. Never done anything like this, and especially in a real Mexican villiage, I don't want to chance anything....

This thread was started in March 2009 but it contains a wealth of useful information. We have visited both Uxmal and Chichen Itza. We enjoyed both. You might enjoy viewing the slide shows my wife made for her website with pictures she took.
