I am 53 and a female and could not imagine a different scenerio.

I have no desire to share a cabin with anyone, Male or Female.

I think this is the big difference between this "singles forum" and

the other "Solo Forum". Hooking up with someone is the last thing

I think about when cruising.

You cannot imagine going alone? I have lived on my own for more than

25 years......I have a good job, own my own home and love to

cruise. Going solo is my choice and I am quite happy with it.:)

I agree with Lois completely. Cruising solo can be a wonderful experience and for many of us it is the preferred option.

I am a single 60 yo man and I am taking my

third solo cruies. Had a great time on my

previous ones.

If you want to meet other people not just

solo travelers you have to be open and a bit outgoing.

I personally find it pretty easy to talk to people

on a cruise. Most everyone on a cruise are already

in a good mood. Being that they are on vacation...

These lovely woman adopted me on my last cruise

when they realized I was traveling solo.

We did a lot of fun stuff as a group. I am now

planning a trip to Toronto, where they all currently live.

Now I realize this won't always happen.

Meeting a group of beautiful women like this.

However, not knowing what will happen when you

travel solo, makes it that much more interesting..

Good on you Bobmal99. One of the advantages of solo travel is the opportunity to meet new people, including in your case beautiful women:)

But for me it's also about the freedom to set your own agenda and be as sociable or solitary as you want. Pick your own destinations while in port and eat, drink and sleep according to your own agenda. I certainly enjoy other people's company - in fact I regularly seek it out - but I'm also not afraid of my own.

Hi Lois. I've only sailed on Carnival for a couple of reasons. First and foremost, I've always had a great time. Second, the other lines seem to always be higher. And third, I enjoy the atmosphere. I figure why pay more when I can just get more cruises instead. lol I would like to try another cruise line at some point just to be able to make a true comparison, but can't justify paying for 7 day cruise on another line when I can take a B2B for almost the same amount or just a little more. I do check the prices of other lines when I'm looking for a cruise but always go back to Carnival.

I did notice some specials that were listed in the one thread but I'm already booked next month on a 7 day Truimph, 3 & 4day Imagination so I didn't look any further.

I love CC because most of the people here can relate to what being addicted to cruising is like. lol

I'm Rolf from Orange County, NY. Just turned 50 and recently caught the cruise bug. Went last Feb. on Freedom of the Seas with my son and had an amazing time. I now plan on cruising 2-3 times a year and plan to do at least one single cruise a year and look forward to meeting single females. My next cruise will be the Halloween cruise on Explorer of the Seas out of Bayonne. Excited to go solo in October and also check out EOTS for a possible 10 night cruise next March. As much as I love RCI, I will also check out Norwegian Epic and Breakaway.
