webteach Posted March 8, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 8, 2009 Beautiful ship- everything great including getting off. No problem with that at all- they must have worked the kinks out. Now FLL needs to prepare itself for all the cruisers who descend on Saturday morning. Long lines- SWA did not have enough agents working. Can't blame the economy- it looked like everyone was flying them. Diamond perks on INDY were absolutely great. The lounge is beautiful and we were pampered. Special platinum and diamond breakfast was lovely, too. It really reminded us of why we are loyal to RCCL. Any questions?
KJBBrett Posted March 8, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 8, 2009 One question here...why did you get off? :) Glad you enjoyed. I've been really wanting to try Indy out since she first set sail. Where did you sail to?
webteach Posted March 8, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted March 8, 2009 Yeah- I'm wondering that, too. We went to Belize, Costa Maya, and Cozumel. None of these ports were new to us, but we enjoyed different activities in each. Our favorite- capt your own river boat in Belize through Coral Breeze tours. Three (middle-aged) couples in 3 -14 foot rubber zodiacs following 2 Belizean boy guides. We saw manatees, dolphins, crocodiles, herons and egrets, and howler monkeys. Amazing, authentic trip. The next day we just sat on the beach in Costa Maya - to recover and to rest. Cozumel- brief shopping trip and then back onboard to enjoy the solitude ( except a woman drove off the pier on her scooter so things were actually in an uproar- we heard she lived and actually made it back onboard before sailaway!) We couldn't have asked for a nicer cruise.
alexkrn46 Posted March 8, 2009 #4 Share Posted March 8, 2009 Great thanks for your post, we will be on next week, will all the rumors about the Diamond Lounge being available to D+ only I was getting scared. How were the shows? Who was the Cruise Director?
webteach Posted March 8, 2009 Author #5 Share Posted March 8, 2009 The cruise director was Graham something and everyone said he was hysterical. We only saw one show but it was excellent. Our one big problem was the diamond lounge from 7 until late seating pretty much did us in for the night. The men in the diamond lounge poured liberally and often and we were not as cautious or circumspect as we should perhaps have been!!!
