Most reliable tour companies for shore excursions?

Any opinions on the most reliable tour companies outside of the cruise ships? Want to save $ but also don't want to be left out in the middle of nowhere and miss the ship. We'll be in Skagway, Juneau, and Ketchikan.

I'd recommend the 3 that I used last year - Chilkoot Charters in Skagway, Orca Enterprises in Juneau and especially Island Wings in Ketchikan. I've never read anything negative about them. Wanted to use Harv and Marv in Juneau, but they were already booked over 6 months out.

You need to FIRST determine, what tours you are looking for??? Then find the vendor. It is NEVER a booking agent that I ever recommend for Alaska tours.

Read posts on this board and you will get tons of info. This is the best source of info, first hand from people who have been there and done that.
