Rental car and/or shuttle in Port Canaveral

Has anyone used a rental car before their cruise and then booked a shuttle for trip to airport after cruise??

There will be 4 of us. Going day before so would like a car to get around as we are staying at the Hampton Inn. We were discussing if it would be better to shuttle back after the cruise so we wouldn't have to hassle getting/dropping off the car. Do shuttles do one way??

We are looking into this also. I did ask about this a few wks ago. We are renting avis on the way to the Radisson the day before our cruise. People on here say they do not have a drop off fee for a different drop off point. We are still looking for a shuttle back to the airport. On the I work in Pt Canaveral thread go to post #5511. Lots of great info there.
