La Guaira, Caracas- What to do?

Any recommendations? We'll be a group of 7, with three teens. One family has never cruised before, and this one is a bit more experienced Thanks

See if you can get an excursion to Colonial Tovar. It is a German community up in the mountains, easy to get to, and can be done within the time limits of a cruise usually. I don't know what ship or your time in port.

 

There is definitely nothing in La Guaira, and I wouldn't be too quick to buzz around Caracas without being on a tour. They go from the very poor to the very rich.

Bringing this post back to the top. Anyone been to LaGuaira/Caracas lately? Any suggestions for tours, excursions, etc????

The tour above (glass factory and Mt Avila) is the one that I'm considering. There were some decent reviews of it on these boards back in the fall. If anyone has been on this tour recently, please post!
