auntchele Posted March 28, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 28, 2009 Hi All, My husband and I will be taking a cruise on the Monarch. My mom and sister are now joining us. My mom walks with a cane due to a stroke and gets around pretty well. She does not own a wheel chair but uses one when a lot of walking is involved (i.e. airport). The Monarch has a handicapped room that's available but its on the 2 deck. I currently have a room reserved for her on deck 6 where we are. Question. Is it worth switching her to the handicap room for more room on the lower deck? Thanks in advance for your help.
cb at sea Posted March 28, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 28, 2009 If she doesn't need the wheelchair all the time, then stick with what you have. It'll be much easier access for you to have her closeby. If she needed the wheelchair to get around ALL the time, in the room, in the bath....then the accessible cabin would be the one to go with.
