Water Taxi

Hi -

 

Does anyone know how much it would cost for a water taxi from Piazzale Roma to Rialto? I realize I can take a vaporetto but I want to be dropped off at my hotel in a small canal near the Rialto with all of my luggage....so I am not interested in the vaporetto. Thanks!

We would like to do similar from the port to our hotel after our cruise in May. I have heard quotes of 60 - 100 Euros:eek:. Very expensive, but then it's Venice, where else can you do that!:cool:

We have the exact same problem but we are hoping we can find another couple on the ship to share the cost that is going to our hotel! ;)

If you booked your cruise thru a travel agent, they can book you a water taxi and have it paid for before you leave. I was in Venice at the Rialto Hotel prior to my cruise; I booked a water taxi from airport to hotel, then hotel to pier three days later. The price of the water taxi was about $100 for the two of us.

If you send an email to your hotel, they will give you the specifics where you'll be dropped off and the cost.

Our hotel quoted us a price of 60 Euros from the pier to the hotel and 100 Euros from the hotel to the airport. Hope this helps.
