linking reservations for dining

We will be booking a cruise soon and will be joining some friends. How do i link our reservations so we will be at the same table. Is this something I should do when I book our cruise or can I take care of it online later. I am assuming I need their reservation number in order to do it.

Thanks

IN the past we've just emailed the others' names and reservation numbers to our travel agent and they've taken care of it. I know there is a screen on the Celebrity web site under "my reservation" where you can see the numbers but not edit them - don't know if you can add/change the liked reservation numbers directly there if you've booked direct with Celebrity or not. But we check those to make sure the links are correct.

Whatever you do, check your table assignments with each other, or with the Maitre D' outside the dining room on embarkation afternoon, to make sure the table assignments are correct. We've had incorrect assignments more often than not but they've always taken care of it when we've asked for them to be fixed.

If you booked with a Travel Agent, send the reservation numbers to the TA to link up. If you booked directly with Celebrity, there is an area labeled 'Link w Other Passengers' and you link for Dining, Air and Hotel, or call the Celebrity number and they will link you. You need reservation numbers to link. If a TA makes the link, you can see it on the Celebrity website, but can't edit it.

Larry said it all ~ ask your travel agent to link your reservations (they'll need the booking IDs of the parties to be linked). Then you can check on-line to make sure they are linked. Then check your table assignments when you board.

We've never had a problem with linked reservations but it's always a good idea to check.

ENJOY!

If you book directly with Celebrity, when you go into your reservation there is an option to link reervations. It won't change the numbers, but you can request being seated with the other reservation party.
