Look2Sea Posted April 11, 2009 #1 Share Posted April 11, 2009 Has anyone stayed at Westin Bayshore in Vancouver? Any thoughts or feedback? Can you walk to Vancouver Aquarium from the Westin Bayshore? Are the dining options at the hotel costly, or are there moderate options? Is breakfast at the hotel costly? Are there affordable restaurants within walking distance of hotel that serve breakfast? LeftcoastBC Posted April 11, 2009 #2 Share Posted April 11, 2009 Has anyone stayed at Westin Bayshore in Vancouver?Any thoughts or feedback? Great hotel. Yes I have stayed there. Can you walk to Vancouver Aquarium from the Westin Bayshore? Yes and easy stroll of several blocks into Stanley Park along seawall. Are the dining options at the hotel costly, or are there moderate options? Is breakfast at the hotel costly? Major hotel pricing in effect. :( Are there affordable restaurants within walking distance of hotel that serve breakfast? Not sure of the newer places area in flux last few years. (upgraded) Marine pub with restaurant (cardero's) just steps away and several coffe shops.

The Bayshore is a great hotel on the shore of Coal Harbour and just east of Stanley Park, I am sure that you will love it. If you can get a north facing room you will get some terrific views of Stanely Park, the yacht harbour and the North Shore mountains. Yes, you can walk to the aquarium. In the Westin scheme of things, yes, you will find the meals expensive. There are a number restaurants on Denman St. and you will find a White Spot restaurant just across the street on Georgia which will be a less expensive option for breakfast and lunch. For dinner you can walk to Carderos which is an upscale mairne pub or the Boathouse at Denman & Beach on English Bay. http://www.vancouverdine.com/carderos/home.html http://www.boathouserestaurants.ca/vancouver-restaurant-locations.php
