I love Carnival but find it hard to understand why they don't change things up a bit. We have been on 5 Carnival Cruises and have found these same things on every boat:confused:

 

Out of eight cruises on Carnival, I have never joined in on the color game, never played bingo, only notice the hairy chest contest if I happen to be sitting very close to where it is held. I've seen one and a half shows, been to see 3, maybe 4 comedians and never been to see Legends or the Newly Wed game. Bored with these items? No. They just never held any interest to begin with.

For me, it's basically the same ole same ole for the past 20 years. And that doesn't bother me. I go to a place in the mountains every year for the past 50 years, and they still have the same bingo cards, and nothing's hardly changed in all those years. They have a formula, and it works, so I guess they go with it.

 

It's me that must adapt. There are so many things going on, the choice is mine. And so many new people to meet.

I see and hear the same stuff on the other boards. We keep it fresh by rotating cruise lines. Each one has offered a great experience. And while for many the shows may be tired and need a refresher, to many pax, like me next week, the shows are new...so I can see why many lines arent eager to jump at the expense of revamping the on board entertainment

We enjoy the quiet of our cabin on days when sun isn't there or noise gets to us. Rest is really a plus on a cruise. :)

I honestly don't attend half of those. We go to the shows, if they interest us. And the Newlywed Game. Although a change would be nice, I think that equals more $$ and I think arranging things like that for thousands of people takes a LOT of time spent on logistics and details.

No, I don't get bored with it. Just wait until after you have been on more Carnival cruises. The best part of the cruise? Being in the Casino. Also meeting your fellow passengers, which I mostly do in the Casino. My wife loves the hairy chest contests and the hairy legs contest. I like the Comedians. Some shows are good and others aren't.
