Hobiecat01 Posted April 23, 2009 #1 Share Posted April 23, 2009 I'm pretty sure I read something here several months back as to which dock the Oasis would be using in St. Thomas. Was I dreaming? Can anyone clear this old head with an answer? DW and I were in St. Maarten a while back and saw the new pier being built there; it should be finished by now I would guess. Also what about Nassau? RCIGUY Posted April 29, 2009 #2 Share Posted April 29, 2009 According to an article I read about two weeks ago by USVI news sources, the approval process was currently ongoing for dredging of the channel, turning basin, and Havensight docking area for the Oasis class ships. I haven't heard if final approval was given. (Some environmental issues)
FireIce0010 Posted May 1, 2009 #3 Share Posted May 1, 2009 Oasis will dock at Havensight in St. Thomas. They have to dredge the area of the turning basin and pier but from what I read on the local papers in St. Thomas, this will only take anywhere from 25 days to three months to complete. In Nassau, the Oasis will more than likely have to use the outer most dock as it is the longest.
