jeratbp Posted April 24, 2009 #1 Share Posted April 24, 2009 We got off the Carnival Inspiration to Grand Cayman/Cozumel on 4/16 out of Tampa. As much as we enjoyed GC/Coz, we didn't enjoy some aspects of Carnival - mostly food. We had a decent cabin with window view. We also took our 2 boys - 9 yr old and 7 month old. Next cruise will be just my wife and I. Last year around this time, we cruised the Grandeur of the Seas to Bermuda out of Baltimore. Even though the port in Baltimore was a horrible experience and the ship was delayed, the other experiences easily outweighed these issues. Bermuda is beautiful. The entertainment/activities on the ship were so much better. The ship itself was much larger. Plus it helps that I had a better experience in the RCCL casino that the Carnival casino. I did well on the Craps table on RCCL, and lost on the Carnival.....though I seemed to notice alot of people loosing money in the Carnival casino. Coolcruise02 Posted April 24, 2009 #2 Share Posted April 24, 2009 I almost hate to say this but you are going to find good and points with all the lines/ships. Just because you had good luck in the casino on one RCCL ship doesn't mean the same will happen on the next RCCL ship. (just ask my DH) :) We have found Carnival has the best food and availability of all the lines. JMHO
Beanie01 Posted April 24, 2009 #3 Share Posted April 24, 2009 I was on the Inspiration in May 2008 for my very first cruise. There were 6 of us. We all had a wonderful vacation experience and no major complaints. This year, I'm booked on RC's Liberty of the Seas. I don't think one could even compare this ship to the Inspiration, as they are completely different classes/sizes. I try not to get upset about the little things, so I'm sure this next cruise will be just as wonderful an experience. May do Carnival again next year. Looking into the Dream.
