henrid Posted May 2, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 2, 2009 I'm heading out on the Conquest at the end of June and have a few questions about the Video Poker machines: - do they have many machines with "Double Double Bonus Poker"? $.25? $1? - anyone know the payout odds on the video poker machines? I'm suspect they are not full pay 9/6 odds. - anyone with any recent luck playing video poker on Carnival...any Royal Flushes to brag about? Many thanks! luvvp Posted May 2, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 2, 2009 As you can see by my user name, I love video poker. Well I was on the Elation at the beginning of the month and of course played vp. Yes they have ddb which I think was 6/5. I know that's bad but if ya wanna play, you take what you can get. I did get alot of play in for alittle loss which I was happy with, kinda funny huh, happy loser! LOL
henrid Posted May 2, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted May 2, 2009 Thanks luvvp ! I do "luv" your name! 6/5 is pretty bad, but like you said if you want to play... Anyone hear of Royal Flush being hit on VP????
nolaAlive Posted May 2, 2009 #4 Share Posted May 2, 2009 Of course Royals are hit. The odds are the same, just some of the payouts suck. On some progressive machines, you need to play 10 coins to collect the progressive. 5 coins is still the normal payout, though.
wrighka Posted May 2, 2009 #5 Share Posted May 2, 2009 Never had much luck with VP on cruises....then again, I don't have much luck with them anywhere!!!!! LMAO! Good luck!
cruzincurt Posted May 2, 2009 #6 Share Posted May 2, 2009 The payout schedules are pretty poor, 6/5 typical rather than 9/6 where it should be. That aside, I should and do know better than to play with those odds, but I've hit Royals twice on cruises. Still the same odds 40,000 to 1 to hit a Royal regardless of the payout table. My DW likes to play double bonus and seems to get 4 of a kind more often than me. Scary story, while playing she hit for $200 then instead of hitting the cash out button, she hit the double down button. There is no way to reverse that choice. She called me over and was really angry with herself....What to do?? She picked a card, beat the house = $400.
dan40 Posted May 2, 2009 #7 Share Posted May 2, 2009 I'm not much for the machines, but the payout odds on DIFFERENT video poker machines varies. Same as it does on slots.
