Vancouver shopping

Recommended Posts

My first questions.....is there Olympic 2010 merchandise available in Vancouver yet? I would love to get some christmas shopping done. We are staying 2 days before our cruise aboard the Island Princess.

Also, we are planning on heading over to Grandville island on a Sunday (July 19th) how early do things open on Sunday's? We are planning on spending a couple of hours at the Market there and then heading to Stanley Park for the remainder of the day. We have rented a car - so we do not have to rely on public transportation or tours.

Thanks in advance.

Lots of 2010 merchandise. HBC "The Bay" have a lot at their store, Granville @ Georgia.

As for Granville Island, if you can avoid driving there, you're better off. Parking is hell.

The Bay at the corner of Granville Street and Georgia Street has all the merchandise you could possibly imagine. It is on the street level of the store.

Agree with Scottbee...if you can avoid taking your car to Granville Island I would do so. Parking has been a chronic problem there for decades!

You would be better off to find parking on the downtown side of False Creek and then hop the little passenger ferry, (read small tender boat), to Granville Island.

The Market opens at 9:00 am on Sunday.
