Best Night for Chops and Portofinos??

What are the best nights for alternate dining on the NOS western itinerary? I'd like to try both restaurants and wonder what nights are best missed in the main dining room?

It depends on what you like/don't like to eat. Check cruiseclues website for menus and then you can decide which nights don't appeal as much to you.

If you want to avoid the crowds, the first night is always a good bet.

We went to Chops on Wednesday night which happened to be a port day and it was not too crowded. We had 6:15 reservations and got there at 6 when they opened. We were out of there around 7 and the tables were not all full even at that point. Great food and well worth it.

I would say Italian night is ideal to go to Portofino, the selection and quality is much better there!
