Why would the price of a cruisetour go up . . .

if it's waitlisted? The final payment deadline passed at the beginning of last week so if there were "empty" spots for non-payment the cruise wouldn't be still waitlisted would it? Is Princess expecting people to sign up on the waitlist or something? The price is $400-500 more.

Just wondering . . . not like I have to worry about anything. Our tour is paid for and we're not-so-patiently waiting for the end of July to get here ;).

One answer, Supply and Demand. If the cruise/tour is waitlisted, then they expect if there are a few spots that become available, that a higher price can be charged.

Look at some sailings where the balcony staterooms are higher in price then the mini suites. It means that the balcony staterooms have few left to book while the minis are numerous. The fewer spots available, normally the higher the price. ;)
