lysolqn Posted May 19, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 19, 2009 Booking adjoining cabins on Constellation for our children/grandchildren since family cabins are no longer available for that particular cruise and while we hoped to get adjoining balcony cabins as an alternative to the FV, the only adjoining cabins available are ocean view on Deck 2 (Continental Deck). Does anyone have pix of Deck 2 adjoining cabins on any of the M-class ships? Trying to figure out where the connecting door is. The brochure shows those particular cabins also have pullmans, so I'm trying to figure out if the configuration of those OV cabins is the same as regular, non-adjoining M-class OVs with the beds perpendicular to the long wall; or, if those cabins have the beds in front of the window. Also, is there the small sofa that other OVs have and if so, is it closer to the window or the TV? Sorry for such a specific inquiry. Thanks. junglejane Posted May 19, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 19, 2009 We had connecting OV cabins on the Infinity when we went to Alaska in 2006. I think we had 2171/2175. The beds were under the window (parallel to the long wall) and the door was in the place on the stateroom diagram where they show a little sofabed. My recollection is that we had a small upholstered chair instead of the sofa. We didn't use the pull down beds but I assume they must come down so they are also parallel to the long wall. Hope this helps. Maybe someone who has been in these more recently has more info.
junglejane Posted May 19, 2009 #3 Share Posted May 19, 2009 Here's a picture. I'm not sure if you can see a lot because I was focusing on the towel monkey!:D But you can see that the connecting door is open and you can see into the other room. Our travel agent assured me there'd be room in the cabin for a crib but from the diagram that doesn't seem to be the case. It looks like we're going to have to ask for one of the beds to removed from the cabin to make room for a crib. Not sure how well that will go over but it doesn't look like we have much of a choice.
