Radiance of the Seas Alaska Photos (Aft Balcony)

Recommended Posts

Great Photo's.

The rocks you saw being stacked in Vancouver is the symbol for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. The Olympic Winter Games run Feb. 12 to 28, 2010, and Paralympic Games are March 12 to 21, 2010.

The name for this symbol is "Inukshuk".

We toured Vancouver and Whistler (who is jointly holding the Olympics with Vancouver) and we saw the Inukshuk's everywhere along the road and they can be any size.

Thanks for the memories of your trip.

We'll see alot more of these symbols when the games begin.

My dad was a geologist in Alaska in '58. I'm oldest of 4 girls and we went

to Hawaii for a week last Christmas...16 of us...Dad is 75, Mom 72...and

they really hope to do an Alaska cruise with all of us...most of our vacations are at family cabin in Montana...thank you, thank you,

your pictures make me so hopeful and thankful..they really capture

a beautiful, beautiful place, couple, and cruise...truly awesome.. I can't

wait to show Dad....sjn911. The whole presentation leaves me speechless,

and it's such a gift for anyone whether they have been or not...half of

my immediate family has (I haven't yet). I have lived in Oregon and Montana...appx half of life each place...also beautiful...but will get there

someday...happy travels and good life to you two....sjn911
