rlujhf Posted May 30, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 30, 2009 My wife and I are sailing on the Victoria in September (Eastern Med cruise). I read some complaints on a blog about passengers who are doing their shore excursions independently having to wait a long time to disembark. How does Costa handle this? For example, we have visited Athens several times on our own. When the ship has docked at Piraeus, do we have to wait for shore excursions to depart when we could just walk to the metro stop? Capricruiser Posted May 31, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 31, 2009 When we were on the Concordia last month, we got off together with the excursion passengers at Pireaus. They walked to their respective buses, we walked to the taxi rank and rode right into Athens. I've never noticed any controls to check who's got their excursion number adhesive and who doesn't. Just work your way down to the exits with everyone else and get off.
