OKH Posted June 10, 2009 #1 Share Posted June 10, 2009 When I booked my cruise, leaving Thursday, I had no idea what the balconies were like and had this mortal fear of my three year old doing a flying triple half gainer off the side. Because of this, we booked a pretty nice oceanview room (EOS 6202). I've since come to realize that balconies aren't the baby murdering contraptions I thought they were and I also noticed that there are some balcony rooms available on my cruise. Would we be able to upgrade and at what point would we be able to do so? Would it even be worth it to do so or would we get banged over the head? TBSCruiser Posted June 10, 2009 #2 Share Posted June 10, 2009 You can still upgrade by calling tomorrow, otherwise after you check in ask where the pier coordinators desk is. Do NOT wait until you board as they will tell you they are full If you booked with a TA they will have to call tomorrow for you. Have a great time. OKH Posted June 10, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted June 10, 2009 Thanks for getting back to me. I mean, at the expense of sounding like a tightwad, will they discount it a little or is it full boat (pun intended?)
piercetc4 Posted June 10, 2009 #4 Share Posted June 10, 2009 they will charge you what the going rate is for the balcony cabin you want on the date you call-
ksuds Posted June 10, 2009 #5 Share Posted June 10, 2009 If your ship leaves tomorrow....you can't call RCI. They no longer have control to book or change rooms on their manifest. It gets turned over to the port authority. From my experience......the pier coordinator will tell you the ship is sold out and you will have to check at guest relations after sailing.
