Wait lists

We're interested in a Princess Nov. 16th sailing which currently appears to be fully booked.

 

• Could we expect to see cabins released for sale in mid August? It's a trans Atlantic 33 day cruise. Or are these repositioning cruises so popular, there's not a hope.
  
• Has anyone out there placed their name on a wait list?
  
• If so, have you put your name in for a couple of categories?
  
• Might we be better off hoping for a price reduction after final payments are due?
  

I do think such lists should be renamed 'weight lists.'

Final payment will be due about September 1. Then, or shortly after, cabins will probably be come available as people decide to cancel rather than make the final payment. There may be price reductions at this time, if there are lots of unsold cabins. Prices can go up if there are few cancellations or the waitlist takes care of nearly all of them.

There wil be a lot of cancellations. It happens on every sailing and every ship. We just had 3 cancallations on my wifes group cruise and it was short money for a 10 day cruise out of Boston. It's all part of the t/a business. You do a lot of research and when they cancel they cancel. Enjoy your cruise.
