doublebzz Posted July 16, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 16, 2009 I agree with you about the cabin steward. The normal way to dispose of an unwanted spouse at sea is to dump him/her overboard.
dandro Posted July 16, 2009 #3 Share Posted July 16, 2009 How awful. :( I feel sorry for whoever found the body. Carnival seems to have a high number of fatal incidents.

CRUZBUDS Posted July 16, 2009 #7 Share Posted July 16, 2009 It would be very creepy to have that cabin on the next cruise. I'm sure Carnival will never release the cabin number.

SDHALFAN Posted July 16, 2009 #9 Share Posted July 16, 2009 It would be very creepy to have that cabin on the next cruise. I'm sure Carnival will never release the cabin number. You know, I was wondering about that. I would imagine that the cabin had already been assigned for the cruise that starts today and wonder if it is still considered a crime scene? Let's hope that the ship isn't full and that they are able to relocate the passengers who were to occupy the cabin. My heart truly does go out to the family and friends of the couple involved. What a tragedy all around. Valerie

Typhoon1 Posted July 16, 2009 #11 Share Posted July 16, 2009 Creepy. It makes one wonder what happened in any cabin before you got there. The same applies for hotels.
CowPrincess Posted July 16, 2009 #12 Share Posted July 16, 2009 We have friends who manage a hotel property. Dead people are just a fact of life to them. It happens. Now of course, murders are not a fact of life, but if the murder didn't involve a lot of bloodshed, it would likely not be any more distressing to a cabin steward than discovering any other body in a cabin (which, when you think about it, MUST happen from time to time). hammybee Posted July 17, 2009 #13 Share Posted July 17, 2009 Domestic disputes ending in tragedy are daily occurances, everywhere. Only when it occurs on a cruise ship is it news.
babyher Posted July 17, 2009 #14 Share Posted July 17, 2009 When I was an EMT, I went to several crime scenes that no way would those rooms be ready for habitation in a few days. Of course the article doesn't say how she was murdered.
