flynnsport Posted July 22, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 22, 2009 i'm booked on a balcony deck 6 (6312) above the casino in the middle of the ship. If i can move up to deck 7 first balcony cabin in the front left or third balcony cabin in the rear should I? I was a bit concerned of the possible noise coming from the casino but don't know if moving away from the middle of the ship would make a big difference. PlanoDebbie Posted July 22, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 22, 2009 If you can move up to Deck 7, you'll be much happier. You will have only guest cabins above and below you. Way less noise. Since the casino will stay open as long as people want to keep spending money, you could hear the noise from there into the wee hours. Also, there is usually some sort of band playing each evening right outside the casino near the bar. I've been on Deck 8, Verandah, twice on the Conquest. No real problem with noise. We were below the Cezanne Restaurant. No noise from guests at all. We occasionally would hear a cart being rolled across the floor, but it was never bad enough for us to lose sleep or be overly annoyed.
parrotthead Posted July 22, 2009 #3 Share Posted July 22, 2009 We were midship/ slightly forward on deck 7 balcony in April... one thing we did notice (with the balcony door open especially) was some noise from the pool area... when there was a band, it was really noticable. But nothing too bad, we only had to close the door once due to that... and that was the last sea day. Enjoy!
caribbean dreams Posted July 22, 2009 #4 Share Posted July 22, 2009 You will hear some noise from the Casino. Move to the third balcony cabin in the rear, it's nice & quiet in the back of the ship.

sa7776 Posted July 22, 2009 #6 Share Posted July 22, 2009 I have been on that deck twice on the Conquest, once over the show lounge and once over disco. Show lounge wasn't too bad since most activities there ended by midnight, disco was horrible. So loud and the vibrations from the bass so stong that I had ripples in the water of my commode. I second the suggestion that you move to the rear of deck 7. I would if it were me.

I had 6331 previously on the Conquest... nearly directly across from you and I never heard anything from the casino... :)

idlenote Posted July 23, 2009 #9 Share Posted July 23, 2009 Move on up to Deck 7. Other than a little noise in the hallways it is wonderfully quiet.
