lovetocruisee Posted July 28, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 28, 2009 Hi Everyone! We are stopping in Aruba for half a day on our Panama Cruise. Would like to "hit the beach"! Can anyone tell me if taxis are readily available at the port as well as at the beach for a return trip? Would we be better off booking a beach excursion through Princess? Would love your feedback:D
Arubalisa Posted July 28, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 28, 2009 Yes, taxis readily available http://boards.cruisecritic.com/tags.php?tag=aruba+taxi For a day at the beach see http://boards.cruisecritic.com/tags.php?tag=aruba+beach http://boards.cruisecritic.com/tags.php?tag=aruba+day+pass http://boards.cruisecritic.com/tags.php?tag=aruba+radisson+day+pass http://boards.cruisecritic.com/tags.php?tag=aruba+amsterdam+manor
CaribbeanBound Posted July 31, 2009 #3 Share Posted July 31, 2009 You might also consider hitting Eagle Beach which is close and easy to reach via public bus from the cruise terminal. For more beach choices, like Palm Beach, just stay on the bus. You can easily get to Palm Beach via taxi for $10 or via local bus for $1.30 per person. There is a free shuttle from the ship to the cruise ship terminal. To catch a bus, simply exit the terminal, turn right, and cross the street to the Bus Terminal --- an orange building with white columns and benches. Take the #10 "Hotels" bus. Eagle comes up pretty fast, otherwise wait for Palm Beach which has several stops. Arubalisa Posted August 9, 2009 #5 Share Posted August 9, 2009 Any feedback on the Jolly Pirate snorkling tour?? Thanks CC http://boards.cruisecritic.com/tags.php?tag=aruba+jolly+pirates We found Jolly Pirates to be a lot of fun. We also enjoyed our day aboard Tranquilo. Two different types of days, but both a lot of fun.
