harvonj Posted August 2, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 2, 2009 Has anyone ever taken the schooner adventure in bar harbor? If so, what is it like and what are the pros and cons. Planning on taking it in Sept.
SailBadtheSinner Posted August 5, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 5, 2009 I have not taken the Margret Todd excursion but your question gives me the opportunity to post my pix of the MT sailing by the stern of the anchored Maasdam in June, 2009 in foggy Bar Harbor. Notice all her flags are flying. As for sailing, I always say that sailing is the most fun you can have while still keeping your clothes on  (not everyone agrees with that, but what do they know)!! For the pros: sailing and all the enjoyment that goes with that activity; cons: there are none when sailing :D.
EbayCruiser Posted September 9, 2009 #3 Share Posted September 9, 2009 I just read a great review .... Google Margaret Todd Reviews and you will find it! We are scheduled to sail on the Margaret Todd on 10/04/09 while in Bar Harbor and I have researched and found the following: Shouldn't get seasick because we will be in the bay Wear warm clothes i.e. jacket, sweater, gloves (even in the summer) Bring binoculars for spotting wildlife Can't wait .... my DH is really excited to be on such a grand sailboat!! :)
