pmcue Posted August 20, 2009 #5 Share Posted August 20, 2009 I agree, you get snorkle equip, mats, towels, water, drinks and snacks. You can request the one you get and I recommend getting one way down the beach, versus close to the ferry. It was like a private island for us. In addition, they drove us down there. crossman2k Posted September 13, 2009 #6 Share Posted September 13, 2009 Trust me...it is worth ever penny. I mentioned this in other posts: We just came back from Half Moon Cay two weeks ago and rented Cabana #4 Orange. It was at the edge of where the crowds start to thin out and very close to the BBQ pavillion and the bathrooms. It was our best cruise stop and well worth the $225 that we spent. The island is beautiful and we felt like royalty for the day. Cabana renters get to board the first tender off the ship and there is a shuttle waiting for you that will drive you to your cabana. The cabana came with an air conditioner, table set for four, two lounge chairs, shower, large misting fan, 4 towels, 4 floating mats, and 4 sets of snorkeling gear. They also give you an iced cooler full of sodas(8) and bottled water(8). Three platters of snacks including chips, salsa, guacamole, fruits, and vegetables. (Note: when you book the cabana from the excursion desk they ask what kind of sodas you want and what sizes for the snorkeling fins) The cabanas do go fast so if you want to rent one I suggest you get to the embarkation terminal early. We arrived about 30 minutes after the doors opened and were in zone 4. As soon as we got on ship I rushed to the excursion desk and there were only 4 cabanas left. Enjoy!

bruce-r Posted September 23, 2009 #9 Share Posted September 23, 2009 Is the Butler service worth it? Now that is a total judgement call. For me, no. We don't drink much, if any, alcohol and I'm fine with the food from the lunch BBQ.
Typhoon1 Posted September 23, 2009 #10 Share Posted September 23, 2009 I would tend to agree with Bruce. If you indulge in alcohol, it may be worth your while, but we don't and the BBQ food is just fine.
