HeatWave Band

Years ago we were on Explorer and a pool band by the name of Heatwave was working. They were fantastic and we bought one of their CD's and it still sounds awesome. Anyone else ever come across them on any ships, etc??

I bought their cd when my wife and I sailed on Explorer to the Eastern Caribbean. We sailed Explorer in 04. I still play the cd.

I wish I knew where they are -- we'd be thrilled to see them again when we go on Explorer this weekend, but I can't imagine the chances of that happening are too good.

I haven't seen them in years but I think they were tops. I bought their tape (even before CD time!)

pretty sure they've split up and gone separate ways. I've seen Micol the keyboard player on another ship (his fiancee is an ice skater), and the bass player elsewhere also. Ronnie Pivotte was the bandleader, and if you go to cdbaby.com and type in his name, you'll find a few of his CDs (and can listen;)

That's too bad they split - my husband wanted me to call RC and find out if they were going to be on the ship again. I highly doubted it but it would have been a hoot! Thanks all.
