Atlantis without lunch

We are thinking about booking the $124 excursion to Atlantis through Carnival. We decided to do the one without lunch because we plan to eat a decent breakfast on the ship and if we get hungry, we can make the choice to eat there or not. Has anyone done this before, and if so, was it fun? I'm going in December, so hopefully it won't be so crowded. Any information you have would greatly help.

If you don't want to eat in Atlantis proper (there are plenty of little stands to get a quick bite), you can go to Marina Village and get something there. There is pizza, Johnny Rockets, etc. There is also a little restaurant across from the Marina Village (Anthony's) and it had pretty good food. Prices there were a little steep, but you will find that pretty much anywhere.
